Pietrasanta has been one of the most popular towns in Versilia (Tuscany) for many years. 10 minutes to the sea, all important cities such as Pisa and Florence (airport) can be reached in an hour. The many galleries and workshops mix with a selection of the best restaurants and small shops to create a mix that invites you to linger. It is no coincidence that people like Gina Lollobrigida (who had a workshop here for many years) and the artist Botero (some of whose works of art can be admired in Pietrasanta) have settled here. Botero had a real passion for the town and its surroundings; he and his wife bought a house here back in 1983 - in the first hills above the town, surrounded by olives, a typical country house built of natural stone.
