In 2007, the building underwent extensive and comprehensive structural consolidation work on its main structures, which preserved its state of conservation and ensured its stability. The building, approximately 20 metres high with external dimensions of around 7.5 x 7.5 metres, is divided into three sections, separated by two barrel vaults and a floor slab, each of varying heights, as well as a terrace offering breathtaking views of the Umbrian countryside. The interior can be further subdivided by installing intermediate floors, depending on the intended use and the project to be carried out.
The property comprises a total of approximately 16 hectares of land. There are 150 olive trees, 90 per cent of which are of the Moraiolo variety, from which excellent oil is produced; 50 walnut trees of good quality and size; and approximately 600 Douglas fir trees, which are nearing maturity. On approximately two hectares of land where the fir trees are located, there are twelve truffle grounds yielding a good harvest in terms of both quantity and quality. The truffle grounds are private and strictly monitored.
Whoever acquires the Tower of Clarignano will be able to claim ownership of a monument of considerable historical and artistic significance, enhanced by the signature of a great artist, Rosso da Settignano, a master of marble work and sculpture during the Renaissance.
The tower, which today stands alone against a backdrop of unspoilt natural beauty, is a unique testament to the history and nobility of an Umbria that no longer exists, yet one that continues to captivate with its atmosphere and the magic of bygone eras in a natural paradise frozen in the Middle Ages, where the eye takes in boundless vistas that nourish both the eye and the soul.
