San Miniato

San Miniato is a small Italian municipality in Tuscany. The historic centre of the town is located on a hill almost exactly between Florence and Pisa, which were at war with each other in the Middle Ages. Ancient traditions such as leather production and processing, wine and olive oil products, and of course the white truffles that grow here have made the town rich and will be preserved and enhanced for future generations. Countless famous personalities are buried in San Miniato, including Enrico Coveri, Mario Cecchi Gori, Franco Zeffirelli and Carlo Lorenzini, the father of Pinocchio
