Tuscany / Versilia / Restored property in Monteggiori
Versilia (Tuscany) is the name of a strip that extends from Carrara to Viareggio. In the middle Forte dei Marmi - since the 60`s VIP place. The flat land is only narrow, everywhere it goes into the hills and in some places like Pietrasanta, mountains out of it. The town of Monteggiori is located on one of the first hills above the sea and between Pietrasanta and Camaiore. It is a former stone village (stone houses and stone paths) accessible via a staircase. Parking space downstairs. No shops or restaurants in the village. It is a pure relaxation village.
The house is on the side of the main entrance with the advantage that you can unload with a narrow car and then turn upstairs.
It has 3 entrances - one from the path above - here a staircase goes down to the upper part of the garden. Pass the neighboring house - this path is pleasantly wide with only easy “stairs” and the third entrance is lower to reach the lower apartment separately.
The house is on 3 levels and has a total of approx. 120 square meters. Partly open stone walls (no look or cladding, but real stone walls) and renovated wooden beams. At the moment the house is divided into 2 units, the lower apartment can be finished according to your own taste - everything is also completely renovated here, pipes ect laid - heating must be installed and if desired - kitchen and bathroom.
Let's start here. This part has a terrace (garden terrace) at the front, on which there is now a whirlpool.
There are two rooms a little lower (approx. 2 flights of stairs) than the rest of the area, one of which is intended as a bathroom, the second as a bedroom. Corridor to either the second bedroom or a small living room, with a kitchen / bathroom next to it. Comfortable wooden stairs up to the finished area - here is a small terrace with sea views and a small laundry room with washing machine. On this level there is a kitchen, 1 bathroom and a bedroom. Here is also the small part of the garden with a pergola and barbecue and a dining table.
On the 2nd floor there are then 2 bedrooms and a shower room.
Shopping: on the main street below between the two cities - approx. 2-3km
Sea: about 9km

Ideal as a summer apartment in order to spend the maximum of the day on the beach, which is only 150m away. First floor with private stairs and a tip of the garden for sitting, balcony and private parking.
The hamlet comprises many stone houses, some of which are connected by passageways. Unlike others, this part of the village is not abandoned; houses have been bought up over the years and painstakingly restored.

From the Etruscans to the Romans to the Renaissance, Tuscany is possibly the greatest repository of art in the world, from extraordinary paintings and sculpture to frescoes and architectural masterpieces. Visitors to Tuscany come for many reasons. Many come in search of fine art, others to explore the extraordinary countryside. Gourmets and wine buffs descend on Tuscany to enjoy the simple yet wonderful cuisine and wine. Walkers enjoy the mountain paths, cyclists the rolling hills, summer vacationers the sea coast and islands. Students come to learn the beautiful Italian language and culture. There is a lot to see and do in Tuscany, the difficulty is really where to start. Certainly most should start with Florence, then continue on to Siena and Pisa. The roll call of città di arte, cities of art, is daunting: Arezzo, Cortona, San Gimignano and Lucca are all striking. The more you come to know the region, the more extraordinary Tuscany appears.
